A strong gag reflex can make any dental treatment a strain – for impressions, X-rays or simply working at the back of the mouth. Many people affected therefore avoid the dentist.

In short

In acupuncture for the gag reflex, fine needles are placed at specific points shortly before treatment. Many patients find that the reflex becomes considerably weaker as a result. In addition, a digital impression means impression trays with impression paste are no longer needed.

## How does the acupuncture work?

Procedure
1. **Conversation**When does the gag reflex occur? What have your previous experiences been?
2. **Placing the needles**a few very fine single-use needles, barely noticeable.
3. **Taking effect**a few minutes, then treatment begins.
4. **Removal**after the treatment.
