Crowns, Bridges & Dentures

Crowns, bridges, dentures or implant-supported teeth: we find the solution that suits your teeth, your everyday life and your budget.

Crowns, Bridges & Dentures

Whether a tooth is badly damaged, a gap has appeared or several teeth are missing: replacement teeth restore chewing, speech and appearance. Which solution is right depends on the findings, your wishes and your budget. We explain all the options – from the insurance-standard solution to high-quality all-ceramics.

In short

Fixed restorations are crowns, bridges and implant crowns; removable ones are partial and full dentures, and combined restorations join both. German statutory insurance pays a finding-based fixed subsidy, which increases with a complete bonus booklet.

Costs: fixed subsidy and bonus booklet

Patients with German statutory insurance receive a fixed subsidy of 60% of the costs of the so-called standard treatment. With regular check-ups (documented in the bonus booklet) it increases to 70% after five years and 75% after ten years. For people on a low income, a hardship provision may apply. If you choose a higher-quality solution, the subsidy stays the same – you pay the difference. More: Fixed subsidy and bonus booklet explained.

Good to know

Bring your bonus booklet to every check-up – a complete record can make a difference of several hundred euros for restorations.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a crown last?

Well-maintained crowns often last 10 to 15 years and longer. Thorough cleaning at the crown margin and regular check-ups are important.

What is the standard treatment (Regelversorgung)?

The standard treatment is the solution defined by the health insurers for a particular finding. The fixed subsidy is based on it – whichever restoration you choose.

Will I get a temporary restoration while it is being made?

Yes. Until the restoration is ready, we provide you with a temporary one.
